The Family Adventure Race

Back due to popular demand, we are excited to announce the Family Adventure Race! It will be held on June 7th, 2025, so mark your calendars with anticipation of some great family fun. This is an action-packed, create-your-own-adventure scavenger hunt through the vibrant communities of Burlington and Waterdown! This exhilarating event invites families to explore the cities, tackle challenges, and engage with local businesses—all while having fun and earning points along the way.
How It Works:
- Virtual Kick-Off at 10:00am: Teams will log in to Zoom for a Kick-Off Race Welcome to receive game rules and clues!
- The Race Begins: Navigate the city, complete challenges, and earn points by solving riddles, snapping photos and exploring local landmarks.
- Final Challenge at 2:00pm: complete your race at Hidden Valley park for the last challenge, before you cross the finish line!
- Awards Ceremony: Celebrate achievements, enjoy live music, local vendors, and a highlight reel f the days best moments. Selected team swill receive prizes, and one lucky team will win the Adventure Race Trophy!
All proceeds of this event goes to sending girls to camp through the Radiant girls leadership foundation.
When Does Our Adventure Begin?
The adventure begins with a virtual kick-off over Zoom, where participating families will receive the game’s rules and download the app that will guide them to various checkpoints scattered across the city. Once the race is on, teams will embark on a thrilling journey, navigating through the community, completing fun challenges, and making stops at local businesses to earn valuable points.
As the race starts to wrap up, all families will meet at Hidden Valley Park for one final challenge before racing to the finish line! The excitement peaks with a live band, a highlight reel showcasing the day’s best moments, and the chance to explore local vendors offering unique products and services. The day concludes with an exhilarating awards ceremony, where families will celebrate their achievements, with one lucky team walking away with the coveted Adventure Race Trophy!
